If you’d like to hear a good discussion (that is not too long) about WHAT Rogue Angels is like … check out this video … it is queued to the spot where they talk about Rogue Angels:
Official Update (38 / 17)
=> Kickstarter Update #38
=> GameFound Update #17 (the same update)
Highlights:
Summary: More artwork for the campaign books, a ton of editor work done, manufacturer is done with the molds, thoughts on tariffs, and pushing the delivery date to September 2025.
Also, note that there are fewer than 200 games left on Gamefound for late-pledges.

NextMars has been providing more scenes for the Campaign Books… Examples:

The illustrations are spread out throughout the Campaign (over 1,000 pages) to add flavor [and zest] to the story! They are being placed in strategic places in the books and actually add to the story themselves:

If you want to dive into the first couple of chapters, you can always check out the Choose-Your-Own-Adventure setup in the official Dropbox here (spoiler warning!).
Less than 200 copies available for Late Pledge
If you have been holding off getting your own copy of Rogue Angels, you may want to take the plunge and put in a Late Pledge now before all copies are reserved (by pledges and late pledges). There are less than 200 copies available now.
Late Pledge for the game costs 117 Euro.
Print N Play Demo Tutorial
I think this is the first video playthrough of the Print N Play plus he does a fine job explaining the game as he goes! Thank you Out of the Box!
This video also demonstrates the vast amount of extra work that Emil did to put together a Print N Play system that actually has it’s own book, enemy system, and adjusted rules! Wow! And the game looks great even from a Print N Play! Good Video! Good job creating the Print N Play Emil!

Late Pledge Stretch Payment System will change on Feb 15
This will not affect anyone who has already pledged using the Stretch Pay system.
Currently, Stretch Pay is configured to split the payment into six payments of €19.50. On February 15, 2025, this will change to split the payment into four payments of €29.25.
These are the notes that accompanied this change:
- This is to better reflect the production schedule of the game.
- There will be no change to current pledges.
- There are fewer than 300 copies left.
- VAT and shipping will be charged later, once the production is done.
Notice that there are less than 300 copies of the game left in the manufacturing order that Emil has set up, so if you have been waiting to pledge (ie, order) your copy of Rogue Angels, better do it soon! :)
A look at Gia’s Blade Flurry action card (very interesting)
Rogue Angels is such an interesting game from so many different aspects. One of those aspects is the interesting variety of unique action cards for the heroes, and Gia has a few of those VERY interesting cards, including Blade Flurry:

Gia will deal one damage for each square move she takes and she can move back and forth between two squares if she wants! And, yes, later in the game, if she uses a red boost that would be TWO damage for each move! But, wait, there’s more! She starts this action with ZERO moves! All moves must come from rolling FOUR dice! And in this case, a +1 or +2 means NOTHING! The only thing you want to roll is a movement icon (or even better the double movement icon). Granted, there are two sides of a die that include a movement icon (yes, the movie icon will change to this in the final game):

But if your dice roll is “bad”, you can always chose one (or more) of the dice to reroll (and do this one at a time to see how your rerolls go). And it is worth noting that Gia has the highest reroll capacity of all the heroes as you can see from her character sheet (the yellow circle icons are to track rerolls):

And once in a while (well, actually quite often) you can maneuver Gia to be in a perfect position to damage (or even take out) two enemies in one action of Blade Flurry! This happened in the mission I just successfully completed (C3). Here is the way the map looked as I started the mission (and YES, the 3D walls and fuel barrels made the gameplay so very much better! See the Resource list at the end of this article):

Fun Interact “Hacking” thick acrylic tokens
An integral part of Rogue Angels is hacking a terminal or interacting with locked doors to break into the room. This is done using interact tokens in a draw bag. Often you will encounter a protected computer terminal or locked door. You need to interact with them (ie, “hack” them) by randomly drawing an interact token from a draw bag. You need three of the same color to complete your “hack”. There are three colors (purple, blue and red) plus white (which is wild). The final game will have these custom tokens to shake in the bag:

Unfortunately my prototype copy did not have these cool interact tokens. So I got some thick acrylic padlock tokens from The Game Crafter and they have been totally enjoyable:

They make a nice clanking sound when I shake them in the draw bag!
Available for about 18 cents each from The Game Crafter (you need 8 blue, 8 purple, 8 red and 4 white):
Official Update (37 / 16)
=> Official Update Kickstarter #37
=> Gamefound Update #16
Highlights:
[It was sad to hear that Emil and his family were sick for the first three weeks of January]
All maps, cards and dossiers are ready for manufacturing. Estimated delivery date is May 2025.

Przemek Kozlowski has finished the last maps for Rogue Angels. While I am very happy about that and excited to move forward, it also made me a bit sad that our four years of cooperation has come to an end.

Tweaked Action Cards
Emil has been quite busy! He gave me a peak at the final (almost?) action cards and I am comparing them, one by one, to see which ones he tweaked (to balance the game even more). I won’t mention the special “locked” cards that each hero has, so this should not be spoilers for you unless you don’t want to know about the cards until you get the game.
Actually, if you haven’t played the game yet, you can ignore this article :) HOWEVER … if you have a prototype, PDFs of the changed cards are at the end of this article.
Continue reading “Tweaked Action Cards”Using thin Lego Plates for Walls
I can’t take credit for the idea (I remember reading about it somewhere a few months ago) but I am trying it out now!
I bought a bag of 100 thin red Lego®* Plates and will be placing them on top of the “walls” on the maps. This will add a bit of realism to the maps where the walls actually come up off the map (via the Lego® plates). Here is what the first mission’s first map looks like as I set it up:

This makes the walls OBVIOUS plus more realistic since they are actually raised up off the printed page! You may already have bags of Lego® pieces that you can use for this (they do not have to be red you know). However, if you need to purchase them, this is the source that I used:
=> The Lego Ladies (100 red plates)
They also have them available in packs of 100 white or 100 black.
Note from the Lego website: If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun. For example, say “MODELS BUILT OF LEGO BRICKS”. Never say “MODELS BUILT OF LEGOs” [and]… the LEGO trademark should always appear with a ® symbol each time it is used.
