Tabletopia AND Tabletop Simulator

For awhile now, Tabletop Simulator allowed you to play Rogue Angels.

Now you also can play Rogue Angels on Tabletopia:
=> Tabletopia

The Tabletopia team put together this digital version and will maintain it.

Meanwhile, Emil himself maintains the Tabletop Simulator (Steam) digital version:
=> Tabletop Simulator

The first three (out of six) chapters are available at both places.

Antathys Action Cards

Antathys has four Action cards that deal damage to the enemy (no other hero has more), plus one is an Effect card that takes effect as long as the card is on your cooldown track. The other Action is a healing card (only 4 heroes have healing cards).

Highlights for Antathys Action cards:

  • One of only four heroes with healing ability
  • Has the most damage dealing Action cards of all the heroes
  • Has an Effect card that takes effect at the end of your turn as long as it is on your cooldown track (before your free rest action, so it will take effect when in slot 1 before it slides off the track back into your hand)

Here are the five unique Action cards for Antathys:

Muscle Regeneration

  • Card classification: Ability
  • Cooldown Track Slot: 2
  • Dice: 2 dice (but dice are not interconnected with the card’s action)

Heal yourself for 1 damage and gain 1 shield, or Gain 2 Focus and “+2” to your next action this turn.

Play this card and you can remove 1 damage card from your cooldown track plus gain 1 shield. Or instead you can choose to play the card on your first action of your turn and get +2 on your next action as well as gain 2 Focus. No boosts available at the start of the campaign.

Jumping Jehoshaphat (Jumping Three)

Throughout the campaign there will be times when something is blocking your movement, but there is a note that it can be “jumped over”. This does NOT mean that any of the hero’s can simply jump over it. Only a hero with an Action card with a subcategory (jump) can do so! And there are only three heroes that begin the game with a “jump” Action card:

  1. Vera – Jet Pack is a Gear (Jump) card
  2. Sigyn – Enhanced Mech Legs is an Ability (Jump) card
  3. Talya – Jump and Run is an Ability (Jump) card

Note1: Also remember that you must count the square(s) that you are jumping over as part of your “jump” movement. You canNOT safely end your jump ON the thing that you are jumping over :) Well, you CAN end ON the thing you wanted to jump over, but landing on it will have you suffer it’s consequences.

Note2: Playing a “jump” Action card let’s you jump over enemies, allies, characters, barrels, crates and other things. Just not a wall or a closed door!

Jet Pack

Hero: VeraJet Pack lets her jump over things and for quite a distance as well (5 squares or even more with a good die roll). Note: you cannot jump over walls or closed doors.

Eradicator Action Cards

If you are looking for a hero that thrives on “the attack” and even has benefits from damage taken, Eradicator is your guy!

Highlights for Eradicator Action cards:

  • Has an Effect card that will deal unblockable damage to an adjacent enemy at the end of his turn as long as the card is in his cooldown track AND at least one damage card is also on the cooldown track
  • Can interact with an object from a good distance (up to 4 squares away).
  • Can deal damage to an enemy up to 3 squares away PLUS push the enemy away another square (or more with a good die roll) dealing even more damage if it’s movement is stopped.
  • Has the only Action card that does damage to the enemy and then also to himself! Actually a second Action card can do damage to himself as well if you chose to add a die to the action.

Power Feedback Armor

  • Card classification: Gear / Effect
  • Cooldown Track Slot: 1
  • Dice: 1 die (but not connected with the action)

At the end of your turn, before the free rest action, deal 1 unblockable damage to an adjacent enemy for each damage card you have on your cooldown track.

This is an interesting Effect card in that it only functions while there also is a damage card on the cooldown track. But that means that it kicks in when Eradicator is in the midst of a battle! And using a red or green token Eradicator can actually pull an enemy CLOSER which then can put that enemy adjacent so that this card will take effect! The die rolled is not connected with this action and only can be rolled when the card is played. Boosts available when the card is played (not later as an ongoing effect):

  • Red token: Pull an enemy 3 squares closer to you
  • Green token: Pull an enemy 3 squares closer to you

Unblockable Attack (Terrible Ten)

When attacking an enemy, your attack is diminished by the amount of shields the enemy has. This greatly reduces your “attack power”, often even down to nothing if the enemy has shields of 3! Thus, to enemies with shields, these ten heroes are terrible (to them)… wonderful to us! Why?

WHY? Because when your hero attacks with UNBLOCKABLE damage, the enemy shields are not considered! A hero can deal 1 unblockable damage to an enemy with 3 shields and do one damage whereas a hero who attacks normally with attack of 3 would deal ZERO damage!

These are the ten heroes who can attack with unblockable damage who the enemy shakes with fear considering them a terror:

(1) Xalia

Not only does she have the highest unblockable attack of all the heroes, she also has a second card that does more than one unblockable damage as well!

Zealous Claymore does the most damage of any weapon in the game! Using a green token to add a die roll can up the unblockable damage to 5 or 6 (with a roll of +1 or +2).

And she has a second unblockable attack weapon as well:

Exo Shuriken is almost as good as her other weapon! It deals damage to ALL enemies within a range of 2 plus it deals more than 1 damage plus the damage is unblockable! Note that the die roll is not related to the attack action (+1 or +2 has no use).

Hacking (Secret Six)

Hacking and Interacting is a key element to Rogue Angels. You will be doing it A LOT. And these six heroes give you an edge of hacking from further than just adjacent (plus the sixth hero on this list lets you choose what color the first token is). I also included an honorable mention for 5 other heroes at the end! Quick summary:

  • Interact from the furthest distance:
    1. Range 8: Laelia (with dice roll or +2 and +2)
    2. Range 5: Adryel (with blue token)
    3. Range 4: Memnon, Eradicator
  • Interact with the most tokens:
    1. 8 tokens: Gia (spending 1 focus to repeat the interact with +2 die roll each time).
    2. 6 tokens: Memnon (with +2 die roll and red token)
    3. 5 tokens: Talya (with +2 die roll and yellow token)
  • Interact with more objects in the same action:
    1. 2 objects: Gia
  • Interact and choose the color of the token:
    1. Talya

(1) Hacking Device

Hero: Memnon – Hacks from the furthest away (without needed a good die roll or token). PLUS gets 3 interact tokens (even more with a good die roll and an extra one using a red token).

Healing (Favored Five)

Only five of the 16 heroes in Rogue Angels have healing power … and I’ve called them the Favored Five! I will try to list them here with the ones that I think are best at the top of the list:

  1. Laelia (the best card)
  2. Vera
  3. Adryel
  4. Jastin
  5. Antathys

(1) Advanced Drone Medic
(the best healing Action Card)

Hero: Laelia – Can heal herself or another hero within 4 squares (or with the 1 die rolled, could be up to 5 or 6 squares away). Play this card and remove 2 Damage Cards of your choice!
