Throughout the campaign there will be times when something is blocking your movement, but there is a note that it can be “jumped over”. This does NOT mean that any of the hero’s can simply jump over it. Only a hero with an Action card with a subcategory (jump) can do so! And there are only three heroes that begin the game with a “jump” Action card:
- Vera – Jet Pack is a Gear (Jump) card
- Sigyn – Enhanced Mech Legs is an Ability (Jump) card
- Talya – Jump and Run is an Ability (Jump) card
Note1: Also remember that you must count the square(s) that you are jumping over as part of your “jump” movement. You canNOT safely end your jump ON the thing that you are jumping over :) Well, you CAN end ON the thing you wanted to jump over, but landing on it will have you suffer it’s consequences.
Note2: Playing a “jump” Action card let’s you jump over enemies, allies, characters, barrels, crates and other things. Just not a wall or a closed door!
Jet Pack

Hero: Vera – Jet Pack lets her jump over things and for quite a distance as well (5 squares or even more with a good die roll). Note: you cannot jump over walls or closed doors.
Enhanced Mech Legs

Hero: Sigyn – You need to be adjacent in order to safely jump over something unless you use a green token to add a die roll (and get +1 or +2 results). Note: you cannot jump over walls or closed doors.
Jump and Run

Hero: Talya – You need to be adjacent in order to safely jump over something (the die roll does not change that, but lets you move AFTER you jump). You need to be adjacent in order to safely jump over it.
* The phrase “Jumping Jehoshaphat” likely is a reference to one of Judah’s better kings (King Jehoshaphat) and his trust in God. In the Bible, 2nd Chronicles chapter 20 relates the part of Judah’s history that “Jumping Jehoshaphat” may be referring to. Here is a short blurb from the article=> Jumping Jehoshaphat :
“Jumping Jehoshaphat”; where did it come from? Some believe it developed over the years to remind Christians that when unexpected or troubling news comes our way, we are to remember to “jump” into God’s arms. That’s what Jehoshaphat and Judah did. They called on Him and He answered; doing so in a way no man could. We do have to “jump,” though. Not very high, either; He’s a God Who’s really good at stooping and catching.
