Official Update (34 and 13)

Official Update for October 2024

=> Gamefound Update #13
=> Kickstarter Update #34

Highlights:

  1. October was a good month for production!
  2. Now over 2,650 backers via Gamefound Late Pledge
  3. Quick summary: Another productive month with the last card illustrations, new maps, more 3D prints and manufacturing has started!

  1. Gunship Revolution completed the last illustrations for the shared action cards. Now all the loot, extra gear, weapons, deployable droids and mines are ready! Shared Action Cards belong to the whole team and are shared between all team members before beginning a mission [Len: you can change who gets which cards with each mission if you wish] Here are four examples dealing with healing and recovery:

    Angelita Ramos provided some of the missing illustrations for unlockable action cards for for four of our heroes [available only to a specific hero]

    Angelita also illustrated some new robot companions (available in the right circumstances):

    Plus over half dozen new maps were provided by Przemek Kozlowski

    City Rooftops and a Forest

  2. All individual [hero] stories are finished. Now Emil is transferring them into the same data setup as the campaign story. Each of the 16 heroes will have 11 pages of story in their Legacy folder plus the page on the back to track relationships and events. That is another 176 pages adding to the total experience! Here is a peek at Emil’s spreadsheet:

  3. Dan at Prime Prints in the UK made two additional sets of 3D hero miniatures. They have a base of 28mm… ideal for the maps! For those who like miniatures (models) in their games, Emil provided a photo of them all:

    All the cardboard tokens are getting finalized now:

    Emil even shared his sketches as he plans the final layout for the punchboards:

  4. Not much to show visually, but things are off to a good start and the project manager in China is very responsive and detail oriented :) Two processes have begun:

    1. Producing a white sample. This is all the blank components correctly sized to verify that everything fits into the proposed box size.
    2. Checking all 16 3D models before making steel molds. This is a complex process so it was started early.

  5. Adinda from A Creates posted an interview with Emil that was made a while ago. This is a good way to hear Emil’s thoughts on Rogue Angels:

October also saw the release of Mass Effect The Board Game. Len Lindsay of MyRogueAngels compared the enemies of Mass Effect with Rogue Angels:

And a brief conversation about Rogue Angels (along with ISS Vanguard and Mass Effect the Board Game) from Co-op Guild (queued to the right spot):

  1. Rogue Angels was at VikingCon in Denmark earlier in October.
    PLUS, remember you can try out the game via Tabletop Simulator.PLUS… Emil will be teaching the game via Tabletop Simulator on the following dates (join Discord to take part in the demo) starting at 22:00 (GMT+1)
