Official Update 47 / 26

=> Kickstarter Update 47
=> GameFound Update 26 (both should be the same)

Highlights:

The main campaign is made up of 6 chapter books … totaling about 1,250 pages! All 16 Legacy Folders are finished plus much of the Characters’ Stories (100 pages) is done. Lisa and Martin’s ideas are mostly included now (mission segments, puzzles, hero challenges). Playtests of personal missions (geared towards a specific hero)went well. There will be at least one special mission for each hero in the campaign book titled “Chapter 7”. Note that these missions are not part of the main campaign which uses the books for Chapter 1 through Chapter 6.

Some of these hero missions are significantly different from the main campaign experience!

These personal hero missions require the hero in focus to be the Commander and make the decisions but other team members may be influenced as well.

Lisa is hard at work ironing out all the typos in the chapter books along with fixing sentences and rewording things a bit better.

All sixteen Legacy folders are completed. Each hero’s backstory is done. Now Emil is putting together special personal missions for each hero (but the others on the team still are part of the missions). These missions are shorter than the missions in the main campaign and are all combined into the book titled “Chapter 7” (see above).

The personal missions for each hero use a blend of new and old maps. And with all the amazing work from Przemek Kozlowski, I have been able to edit and stitch together new maps from his original maps. So now the map book has increased to 119 maps … way more than the promised 88 maps!

The manufacturer is now ready whenever Emil has completed everything. Here is the new timeline:

  • (*) Pre-production done. These will enter production alongside the rest.
  • (**) Pre-production underway at manufacturer.
  • (***) Awaiting pre-production at manufacturer.

Summary of the estimate:

  • December: Individual stories will be complete and all corrections made in all the books so that they can be submitted as PDFs in early January.
  • January: Complete the rulebook and training manual (with more visuals, examples and graphics), lore book and game box (likely with the help of the Discord community). These can then be submitted at the end of January
  • February: The manufacturer will complete and ship a final version for approval. Then when Emil signs off on it the Late-Pledge will close and the Pledge Manger will open for finalizing pledges with addresses and shipping info. Emil will alert everyone a few times about this.
  • March: Manufacturer will produce 3,000 copies of Rogue Angels
  • April – May: Shipping and Delivery.

A variety of playtests were completed in November.

If you wish to join in the tests, please let Emil know. These are planned (all GMT+1 times):

Here is how Emil ended his update:

I am very excited being this close to completion. I know it has been a longer journey than expected, but not because of setbacks, troubles, or lack of progress… just a lot of work… luckily very enjoyable work, and I am very thankful for that. This is all because of you, remember that! :)

Thank you for seeing this through with me. I promise you that this will be worth the wait and the time at the table with your friends and loved ones.

Best regards Emil
