Official Update 48 / 27

=> Kickstarter Update 48
=> GameFound Update 27 (should be the same)

  • (*) Pre-production done. These will enter production alongside the rest.
  • (**) Pre-production underway at manufacturer.

Highlights:

December progress: all but two personal missions (Chapter 7) are completed, many corrections made, new content added plus some videos! Hope to submit all story materials in January! There are still a few copies left if you missed out => Gamefound Late Pledge

Adding these personal missions has pushed the boundaries of what can be done with what is already in the game and dramatically adding new layers to the characters’ rich stories. Emil designed the whole mission structure (and setup) to allow gamers in the community to come up with their own stories, cool missions and epic tales (and to share them).

Each of the 16 personal missions is bout 6-8 pages. Some can be accomplished without fights, some have wildly different outcomes, and all will alter the heroes involved!

If you don’t mind spoilers … Emil demonstrates how these personal stories can play out in two videos made with Mike and Rob from Viva La Dirt. In the video for the first personal mission, the team ventures off to a distant mining outpost to help Vera retrieve some valuable crystal samples for a cartel boss:

In the next video (with spoilers), the team travels with Tarira to a Neomorph medical facility to undergo some treatment for her condition:

[Len’s note: there are now over 170 videos of Rogue Angels]

A handful of new maps were needed to serve the new missions properly. Examples: a Changleling commandos training facility and a terrorist hideout in the midst of carnivorous plants on a Neomorph world:

More and more stuff on Emil’s side are turning green! He is anticipating pushing the “Compile to PDF” one last time soon! See the new timeline at the top of this update!

Everything has turned out well over the past year and with the help of so many testers, Rogue Angels has definitely turned into a challenging but fun, engaging, and accessible experience.

If you’d like to help test the last missions, let Emil know or join the discord server.

Final note from Emil:

With 2026 coming up, I cannot wait to finally finish it all and share Rogue Angels. I understand that there is still work to be done, but it is a question of seeing it through, and the light of the tunnel is continuously getting brighter.

Thanks again – I hope you will all enjoy a Happy New Year celebration with your friends and loved ones. 🙏🙏
