Updated Look at Laelia’s Action Cards

Laelia is another of our 16 heroes who had all five or her Action Cards updated.

The red boost was completely changed. It used to give you 4 rerolls on your next action this turn. Now it gives you a +1 instead. The +1 does help you plan your next move better I think :)

However, the nicest change was extending the range for healing someone to 5 (it used to be 4). This lets you heal another hero from quite a distance … and not just to remove one damage card, but to remove two!

But maybe I’m more excited about expanding her hacking from 2 to 3. That is enough to totally hack a terminal or open a door, if the 3 interact tokens you draw are all the same color (or two the same and one white).

The damage inflicted was increased to 3, which is good, because it then can get past many (most?) enemy shields to reduce an enemy’s health if not remove it completely, especially if you use a yellow or blue boost to add a die (which could give a +1 or +2 to that damage). However, the range also was changed and was reduced to 3 (it used to have a range of 4). And yet another change was sweetening the bonus after dealing the damage to now offering a choice of gaining 1 focus or 1 shield. Before you just gained 1 focus.

This is a good weapon because it inflicts unblockable damage (ie, enemy shields are irrelevant). The 3 unblockable damage (or 4 if this is your first action this turn) supplies quite a punch. And the range has been extended to include a range of 3. Before the range was 4-8.

You can end up with a pretty hefty move from the 3 dice you roll, because you can extend your move with a +1 or +2 as well as the typical move icons on the dice. However, previously you started with [0], so it was possible to have a bad dice roll and not get to move at all. This was changed to [1], so you know you will move at least one. Plus it does add one more to the total move when compared to previously starting with [0]. And try to have this be your first action to gain the +1 on your next action!
