Previously known as “Training Manual”, the Tactical Simulator serves two main purposes (plus three other purposes as well):
- Adjust a Hero to match the level of the other Heroes in the campaign:
- A way to introduce a new Hero into the campaign once the campaign has been played for a few missions
- A way to catch up to the other Heroes if you miss a few missions
- A way to “practice” and learn different tactics that will be helpful in your campaign missions (utilizing a “Holodeck”).
You may not need either, but this 16 page booklet is available to you!

You could use the Holodeck feature to simply show friends who drop by how the game works without messing with your actual campaign that is in progress! Or one of the players might miss a game night or two. Then, when rejoining the campaign, there is a simple way to “catch up” to the level the other Heroes are at! Or, you might even have a series of “mishaps” and end up with your Hero filling in ALL their scars (and sadly exiting the game) … you will likely want to replace that Hero with a new Hero! And the first few pages of this booklet helps you get a new Hero set up properly (matching the veteran level that your other Heroes are at). Unfortunately, that is quite possible after you get to Chapter 4 or 5, so let’s take a peak at the process in the preliminary version of this booklet:

There it is … everything you need to do to rejoin your group after missing a few missions! Simple!
And the more drastic instructions for introducing a brand new Hero into the campaign are equally simple!

Finally … a quick way to show friends how Rogue Angels works without messing with your campaign itself: The Holodeck! Here is the introduction that explains how to use the Holodeck along with the first demo mission:

And here is the first training mission using a Holodeck map (that is included in the map book with all the campaign maps):

Also included in this booklet is a way to play competitively. I got the game because it is a wonderful Coop game, so I likely won’t try these. But also included at the end of the booklet is a check list of “Achievements”… things that you might want to try to accomplish while playing through the campaign! Here are two items in the long check list:

And finally … wait for it … ready?
Easter Eggs!
There are TEN to watch for while playing! Here is one of them:
