I forgot how much fun this is! (minor spoilers)

After a few months break it so very much fun to be playing another Rogue Angels campaign with two Heroes I have never used before AND using the updated FINAL Action Cards!! (and updated STICKERS and RELATIONSHIPS charts too).

It is hard to explain without a video (which is hard for me to do on my own since I need to play this SOLO as two Heroes) … but here is an example of a mission where I had options of attacking the enemies (should be a piece of cake, eh?) **OR** sneaking around!

I like SNEAKING AROUND!

I was able to to make all my moves in a way that the enemies DID NOT SEE ME! Including hacking open a crate! And getting into the target facility through both doors with one Hero at each door (Jastin is GREAT at this because he can move an ally 3 squares on his turn)! And finally attack them inside the facility when then noticed me! From the photo you can see how I plan out my route for my Heroes to move … and a strategy (tactics?) to use to actually get all the way inside before being noticed! I use small black plastic tiddly winks to mark the range of enemy sight so I can be careful to stay outside it!

But wait … there was one more … even more fun!!! Minor Spoiler up next:

In one mission setting up the map was fun because it allowed ME to choose where to place three fuel barrels! Hit one with a low power shot and BLAM it blows up doing pretty severe damage to everything around it (sometimes with a range of 2 so it was a 5×5 area totally damaged by one fuel barrel).

This was going to be a HARD enemy attack with EVERY enemy unit moving EVERY turn (but only attacking on the red then yellow alternating routine). Since this was a new mission I KNEW where the enemy units were … and I KNEW their behavior (at least for their first turn on RED) … and this was where the mission let me position the three fuel barrels where I wanted them PLUS gave me a very wide (like half the map) area where my Heroes could begin! I had three fuel barrels. I used one at the top (North) to block the walkway making it impossible to get through for an enemy (because an enemy will NOT fire on a Fuel Barrel (at least not in this mission:).  Then I positioned my heroes to be targets for the enemy units marking where the enemy units would end up AND the range of the attack for the RED enemy! This let me keep my heroes just one square beyond their attack range! Once the enemy had moved and it was my turn again … Hitting those two fuel barrels was so fun! What looked like an impossible situation ended up quite easy via the Fuel Barrel trick! However … the mission did NOT end there … there was an UPDATE and things went downhill from there for me! Actually it was a pretty drastic failure! It would have been a good video watching things unravel after the mission update (when the enemy went first!!!)
